📔 What paper should I get?

Baohong: a budget-friendly 100% cotton watercolor paper that offers great performance at an accessible cost.

Arches: widely regarded as the gold standard for watercolor paper, also 100% cotton. Compared to Baohong, it has a finer texture, handles heavier wet washes, and dries more evenly for buttery-smooth gradients.

300gsm cold-press is used for both paper options.

For reference, I use Arches in my bigger sketchbook (19x13.5cm) for my main artwork, and Baohong in my smaller square sketchbook (13.5x13.5cm) for casual daily sketching.
